Margaret Cleveland

Margaret "Mog" Branham Phillips-Cleveland passed away on November 13, 2025 at the age of 85. Margaret lived in Birmingham all her life except for a short time when she worked for Congressman Huddleston in Washington DC. In Birmingham, she worked for the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau and Samford University from where she retired in 1988. She was a long-time member of the Birmingham Rose Society where she served as an officer for the organization.

Mog, or Moggie as her grandchildren called her, made sacrifices and gave her all to everything she did in life; often because of the love she had for her family and community. Her family is so grateful that God gave her to us as our Matriarch, we consider ourselves blessed for having the privilege of calling her our Mother and Grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter Kelley Blevins and her husband, Larry. Grandsons Phillip Moore and his wife Amelia, Jon Moore and Christopher Flaucher. Great grandchildren, Margaret Moore and Henley Moore. Son-in-law, Michael Flaucher. Brother, Dr. Gene Branham and his wife, Joy and their children Joy Elizabeth Mosley and her husband Paul and Gralynn Branham. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristin Flaucher.

Funeral services will be at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover Alabama 35244 on Tuesday November 18 2025 at 11 am followed by a grave side service. Visitation for Family will begin at 9:30 am and general visitation will open at 10 am.
