Lucas Manyara Muthuri was born on December 7th, 2023 to his loving parents Brian Mutuma Muthuri and Cynthia Wangari Kinuthia who are very hands on young parents. Lucas not only added much joy to their day to day lives, but was also intentionally included in what they were doing and they specifically allowed and made time for their families and close friends to spend time with Lucas often and experience their daily life with him. Both Brian and Cynthia were dedicated to Lucas and they adored him. Lucas is a blessing. They took to caring for him with much love and dedication. You seldom saw them without Lucas unless grand parents, great grand parents, aunties, family or friends were getting to spend some quality time with him.
Lucas is the grandson of Silas and Mary Muthuri of Hoover, and Jennifer Wambui and DT of Montevallo. He is the Great grandson to Rev. Dr. Stephen and Mandrine Ireri of Hoover and Rev. Dr. Major Francis and Monica Gikonyo of Boston.
Those who had met or spent time with Lucas, either helping to feed him, carry him, sing to him or rock him to sleep experienced a happy and peaceful baby. He has been and always will remain a joy and great blessing to the family. Some referred to him as a community baby because he enjoyed being with his parents, Brian and Cynthia, their close friends and/or his extended family at various events whether it was his 1st Christmas to attending church services, baby showers, birthdays or being with his cousin Carter whom they bonded well even though for a short time. His smile, his contentment after feeding or baby laughs and reaching out for toys or his pacifier or bottle will forever remain in our sweet memories. Indeed Lucas is a blessing and our lives are forever blessed for the time spent with him and the joy he added to each of our lives. When we think of Lucas, peace and joy stand out and will remain in our hearts and memories.
When Lucas was promoted to glory, he was 5 months and 6 days old. It is because of God's grace that Lucas touched our lives and we believe we shall see him again in heaven. For children of God, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Lucas is whole and well, in his heaven with Jesus and looking on to us to fight the good fight of faith and to ensure we finish our course well and be reunited with him at the appointed time.
The family is requesting prayers most importantly for Brian and Cynthia not only today but in the coming weeks, months and the future. While we look to the God for peace with each passing day, we also expect our God of miracles, signs and wonders, who is the same yesterday, today and for ever more to perform miracles, signs and wonders for this family.
We thank you for coming to celebrate Baby Lucas and to encourage and pray for Brian and Cynthia and their parents and extended families including uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews, nieces, grand parents, great grand parents and many friends. Jesus is our resurrection and life and we are persuaded that He who began the life of Lucas and breathed life into him will watch over him and preserve him till we meet again!
We look forward to seeing Lucas again!
