A memorial service will be held in loving memory of Lisa Tucker, 64, of Hoover, who was born June 29, 1961, and passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Steve Tucker, and her sister, Chalice Elaine Tucker. She is survived by her mother, Linda Walls Tucker; her brothers, Frank W. Tucker (Shannon) and Steven T. Tucker; her nephew, Joey Tucker (Bethany); her niece, Kayla Tucker Erlandson (Jacob); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lisa graduated from W. A. Berry High School in May 1979. She went to Auburn University, where she became a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, and graduated from Auburn in the spring of 1983. After college, she built a successful career in medical sales that took her to new places and new opportunities, including Jackson, Mississippi; Nashville, Tennessee; Santa Monica, California, and eventually returned to the Birmingham area. In her later years, she also became a real estate agent in the Birmingham area.
Lisa will be remembered for her bold personality and larger-than-life presence. She was independent, unmistakably herself, and never one to blend into the background. In true Auburn Creed fashion, she believed in hard work and held fast to what mattered to her, and she remained a devoted Auburn Tiger throughout her life. She loved football whether it was college or professional.
Lisa's love for dogs was lifelong, from Tuffy, her first, to London, her last dog she was able to lovingly rehome. She truly believed dogs have a special gift for bringing comfort and healing through the human-animal bond. She was proud to support the Hand in Paw Non-Profit and its Picasso Pets program with her doggies.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ryan Kirkland officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens adjacent to the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shades Crest Baptist Church building fund.
The family is grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown during this time.
