Laura Causey

Causey, Laura Faye, age 85, of Bessemer, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2010 after a 16 plus years battle with Alzheimers. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church where she was secretary for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewitt Causey Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Connie Benedict (Harvey) of Katy TX, Debbie Brown (Clark) of Rockledge FL and Nancy Haight (Kevin) of Vestavia; four grandchildren, Amber Rutsey, Kendra Sowell, Wil Phillips and Chris Jeffery; five great grandchildren, Katelyn and Jared Rutsey, Steven and Summer Jeffery and Sabrina Haagenson. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 until 2 pm. The family wishes to express a special THANKS to the employees of 2 North Fairhaven Nursing Home.
