In Loving Memory of Kimbrough "Kip" Cowart (July 14, 1941 - February 13, 2024)

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Kimbrough "Kip" Cowart, 82, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, on February 13, 2024, at his home in Helena, AL, surrounded by the love of his family, after courageously facing a prolonged illness.

Born in Birmingham, Al, to Edward and Tremayne "Treatye" Cowart, Kip's early years laid the foundation for a life rich in love, laughter, and lasting friendships. His vibrant spirit and kind heart were evident to all who knew him. Kip shared a beautiful journey of 56 years with his beloved wife, Elsie, exploring the world, creating a tapestry of memories, and nurturing a family that became his greatest pride and joy.

Kip's passion for life was infectious. Whether he was on the golf course, solving crossword puzzles, or adding to his treasured coin collection, he did so with enthusiasm and a unique zest for life that inspired everyone around him. A proud graduate of Jones Valley High School, Kip's professional life in sales was marked by his integrity, hard work, and the genuine connections he built with everyone he met.

He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him deeply: his devoted wife, Elsie; his children, Darla (Karen), Shannon, and Kristian (Lisa); his adored grandchildren, Porter, Hayden, Jackson, and Ava, who brought him immense joy and happiness; as well as his nephews, Lee, Dow, and Chris Coggin; and niece, Stacey Cowart. Kip was predeceased by his parents, Ed and Treatye Cowart, his brother, Treat Cowart, and nephew, Butch Fancher.

Hoover, Alabama 35244, followed by a memorial service at 1 pm.
