Kenneth Kuykendall

Kenneth Y. Kuykendall, age 80, passed from this life to his eternal home on October 11, 2022.
He was a CPA, having worked for Price Waterhouse early in his career. Later, he was a partner in the firm of Lehman, Ullman, and Barkley. He retired in 2011 after having served as CFO for American Printing Company. He was a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club, whose primary purpose is to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Alabama. He was also a longtime member of the Vestavia Church of Christ, and served as an elder there for a total of 29 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elam B. and Mary Goff Kuykendall, as well as his first wife Elizabeth (Frilly) Kuykendall, his two children, Kevin Kuykendall and Kerri Swanson, and grandbaby Kara Beth Swanson.


He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Charlene Kuykendall, two sons, Matt (Cindy) Higginbotham, and Adam (Amanda) Higginbotham. He is survived by five grandchildren, Kendall Swanson, and Claire, Lucy, Jillian, and Bedane Higginbotham. He is also survived by his brother Wayne (Allison) Kuykendall and his sister, Frances Owen, as well as his nephew David Owen, and nieces Emily (Jarod) Tanksley, and Katie (Will) Harbin.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 15, at the Vestavia church of Christ, at 12:00 noon preceded by a visitation from 10:00 to 12:00.
