Julie Corbitt passed away on September 23, 2025 in Alabaster, AL. She was born on June 19, 1949 in Bessemer, AL. A graduate of the University of Montevallo, she taught elementary school for the entirety of her career.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents James Macon Bonds and Elizabeth Scott Bonds Porter. She is survived by her husband Donnie Lavon Corbitt of Alabaster, AL, son Jeffery Brent Corbitt (Christine) of Alabaster, AL daughter Kelly Elizabeth Corbitt of Pelham, AL, grandson Cameron Jacob Corbitt and granddaughter Sophia Belen Corbitt both of Alabaster, AL, brother James “Ken” Kenneth Bonds (Robbie) of McCalla, AL, sisters Patsy Bonds Gaffney of Cumming, GA and Karen Bonds Gref (Thomas) of Hoschton, GA.

Julie was known for holding her family close to her heart and had many close friendships. She had a passion for making people feel loved, was a devout follower of Jesus Christ, a Prayer Warrior, and she displayed her Christian beliefs to all who knew her.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 with visitation at 11:00 AM and the service at 12:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home & Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or donations as a memorial in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
