John Rockett, Sr

Mr. John H. Rockett, Sr, of Bessemer, AL, passed away March 20, 2013, at the age of 93. He was a member of Brooklane Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Rockett, daughters, Mary L. Nelson and Shirley S. Rockett, son-in-law, James E. Nelson, Sr. and grandson, James L. Nelson, Jr. He is survived by three sons, John H. Rockett, Jr. (Helen), Kenneth W. Rockett, and Douglas L. Rockett, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The family will receive friends Friday, March 22, 2013, from 1-2:30 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM with Reverend Fritz Harder officiating.
