age 92, of Hoover, AL passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008. Mr. Phillips was born November 16, 1915 in Helena Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Pickney Phillips and Oneida Phillips and two grandsons, Joseph Mark Phillips and John Christopher Phillips.He is survived by his sons, Joe Thomas Phillips, Jr, of Hoover, AL and Jimmy Edward Phillips of Chelsea, AL, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 10:30 am in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home of Hoover directing.
