Joe Corona

Mr. Joe M. Corona, age 86, of Alabaster, AL, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011. He was US Air Force veteran and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Alabaster. He was a loving husband, and a great father. He was also a wonderful grandfather to his grandchildren who lovingly called him "Honey". He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Mary Corona. He is survived by his son; Michael "Barry" Corona (Faye), two daughters; Lenora Williams (Jimmy), and Donna Jo Walling (Glenn), two brothers; Morris Corona, and Mickey Corona, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, November 25, 2011, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM. Brother Shelby Batson will be officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
