Jeffrey (Jeff) Lewis Roquet, Sr., age 65, died peacefully surrounded by family on January 17th, 2021. Jeff was born in Des. Moines, Iowa on May 21st, 1955, to Wayne LaRue Roquet and Norma Knapp Roquet. He was the second oldest of four children. In 2001, Jeff was happily married to Jolie Castleberry Roquet who was his partner in life for almost 20 years at the time of his death. He had recently retired from a successful career in the car business.
Jeff is survived by his wife Jolie, six children: Erin Tatum (Philip), Jackie Mory (Kirk), Jeff Roquet II (Lindsey), Lacey Bell (Joe), Kayley Stevenson, and Hannah Roquet. Also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Ashley Tatum (Austin), Austin Roquet, Tyler Tatum, Kailyn Mory, Christian Mory, Taylor Bell, and Maggie Bynum. And brother Dave Roquet, and two sisters Dana and Julie. Preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Courtney Roquet, and his closest cousins Greg Roquet and Steve Roquet.
Besides spending time with his beloved family and friends, he enjoyed time around his pool, watching Alabama Football, grilling from his deck, and starting a new career in the mortgage industry. He had a charismatic personality and always exclaimed how proud he was to have “created all of this” when referring to his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation to celebrate his life on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 from 9-11:00 am at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in his honor.
