Jared Taylor Guess

Jared Guess, age 46, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on February 3rd, 2026, in the city where he was born and spent his life.

Jared was the kindest soul you could ever meet. He had a rare gift for seeing the good in everyone, and time spent with him always left people feeling better about themselves than they did before. He listened deeply, encouraged sincerely, and cared in a way that made others feel truly valued.

Brilliant and thoughtful, Jared could find a solution to just about any problem. His mind was sharp, and his heart was even sharper. From a young age, he loved music and grew up playing the drums, a passion that stayed close to him throughout his life. He was also a devoted Alabama football fan and took great joy in cheering on his team.

Above all, Jared knew how to encourage people in a way no one else could. His words mattered. His presence mattered. And his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Jared is survived by his mother, Debra Skelton, and stepfather, Steve Skelton; his father, John Guess, and stepmother, Brenda Guess; his sister, Sarah Skelton; and his brothers, Chris Guess, Tyler Guess, and Connor Guess. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend.

Jared's legacy is one of kindness, intelligence, encouragement, and love. He will be remembered always.
