Janet Salyer Arnett passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2022 in Hoover, AL. Janet was born January 26, 1935 in Salyersville, KY to Sarah Howard Salyer and Coyne Salyer and grew up in Salyersville one of twelve children. Janet married Max Arnett who was in the Air Force at that time; they were stationed at several Air Force bases around the country. Janet and Max settled in Dayton, OH to find work, here in Dayton is where she spent most of her adult life. Janet began her work life at McCalls/Redbook and retired from J.C. Penny as an Accounting Supervisor and next moved to Naples, FL. In 2005 she moved to Hoover, AL to be close to her son and grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her beloved son, Gregory Arnett and his spouse Sheila Arnett, her cherished granddaughters; Breanne Carmichael and her spouse, Todd Carmichael of Atlanta, GA, Evan Provost and her spouse, Tim Provost of Hoover, AL, Tessa Clark and her spouse, Ben Clark of Huntsville, AL and Kelsey Henley and her spouse, Ryan Henley of Hoover, AL. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, JD Woodham, Teagan Carmichael, Easton Carmichael, Josie Provost, Maxie Provost, Gray Clark, Jagger, Knox Henley and Steele Henley.

The family will have a graveside service Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover, AL
