James Turnley, Jr

Mr. James Edwin Turnley, Jr., of Hoover, AL, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the age of 89. He was a graduate of LSU and a US Marine Corp veteran of WWII. He retired from International Paper Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of Riverchase United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Mary Turnley, two sons; Michael and Robert Turnley, a daughter, Melissa Richardson (Tripp), and two grandchildren; Brittany and Beau Richardson. The family will receive friends Monday, June 17, 2013, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 AM with Dr. Jim Savage and Reverend John Ray officiating with interment following in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Riverchase United Methodist Church or Christ United Methodist Church, Jackson, MS.
