James Sharp

James E. "Ebby" Sharp, of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at age 93. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was a member of Open Door Church for a number of years. Ebby was the owner of Sharp Auto Supply and retired after 50 years of service. He was also a member of Shriner's Motor Corp of the Zamora Temple and loved boating and fishing. Ebby was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lucy Sharp; and two sons, Jimmy Sharp and Kenny Sharp.

Ebby is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Bruce (Charlie), Diane Peeks, and Debbie McKinnon (Jamie); one son, Butch Bononia (Judy); 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Pastor Rick Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
