James Rooney

Odenville, AL/Holyoke, MA - James T. Rooney, 39, unexpectedly passed away, July 25, 2022.  James was born August 9, 1982 to Debra (Peck) and James Rooney Jr.  He grew up in Holyoke and was a graduate of Holyoke High School.  Most recently he has been a resident of Odenville, AL. James was the owner and DJ of JT Productions.  He loved producing music for weddings and dances.  He was also an Uber driver, which gave him the opportunity to meet all kinds of people from all walks of life, which truly inspired him.  He also enjoyed the freedom of working independently both as an Uber driver and a DJ.  James was passionate about photography, journalism and travel blogging.  He enjoyed cooking and would often "cook it up".  Although he moved to Alabama and became an Auburn football fan, he remained loyal to his roots by continuing to be a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

James leaves his fiancé, Ashley Perry from Odenville, AL who he was to marry this November.  They were both so excited about reaching this milestone in their relationship and had just moved into their new home with their two cats, Hazel and Kodak and their dog, Brady.  James also leaves his parents Debra and James Rooney Jr of Springfield, MA; sister Kristine and husband David Woytowicz; and nieces Sara, Emily, and Alyssa from West Springfield, MA.  He also leaves behind a future sister in-law and brother in-law Amanda and Justin Smith, niece and nephew, Baileigh and Weston Smith of Fort Riley, Kansas and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St, Monson MA.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 5-7.  A funeral home service will be conducted Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11am in Lombard Funeral Home.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
