James Neilson

of Jemison, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the age of 62. He worked as a salesman most of his life and was a Mason for more than 25 years. Mr. Neilson loved to work with his hands and loved to help people. He was a positive individual with a sunny disposition who never met a stranger. He was the perfect husband and a good father. He will be missed by all who came in contact with him. "Every family should be so lucky." He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Beech Neilson; two sons, Russell Phares Neilson (Sonya) of Lawrenceville, GA, and Richard Phares Neilson (Alisha) of Birmingham; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Caitlin, and Zackary Neilson; a brother, Charles Sanders Neilson, Jr. (Betty) of Tupelo, MS. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2005, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2005, at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Rev. David Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
