James Morris

Mr. James Hamilton Morris, 91, passed away on July 24, 2019. He was drafted in the last draft for World War II and served in the Reserves for 9 years. He worked for the Birmingham Electric Company for 11 years after which he began working for the City of Birmingham as a Mechanic for 34 years. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, and helping friends with anything.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Clark; parents, Oscar Boyd Morris and Ethel M. Morris; brother, Oscar Boyd Morris II; and sister, Patricia Jordan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Consue S. Morris; son, Alan Boyd Morris; grandson, Jeffrey Clark; granddaughter, Ashlea Clark; brother, W. Pat Morris (Peggy); and sister, Yvonne Wilson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. The funeral service will begin in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South.
