James Albert Mabius

Mr. James Albert Mabius, 84, of Pelham, Alabama entered the arms of Jesus on July 13, 2025. He was born in Birmingham, AL on September 16, 1940. He spent most of his life in the greater Birmingham area. He served his country in the US Navy before he met the love of his life Tonie Hughins. He loved his Lord and savior very much and served Him for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church Pelham.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Tonie Hughins Mabius , his daughter Annette Mabius Hauswirth (Daniel), daughter Holly Mabius Gallagher (Patrick), grandchildren, Chris Majerik, Sawyer Gallagher (Kelsey), Katie Duchock (Keifer), Cody Duchock, Amber Gallagher, and Shea Gallagher, great grandchildren Everlie Gallagher, and Bert and Tom Duchock and his brother and sister-in-law Eddie and Bea Mabius.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Evelyn Mabius, his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Bobbie Mebius, his brother and sister-in-law Charles and Margret Mabius.

A receiving of friends will be held on Wednesday, July 16,2025 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home from 1pm-2pm and a service to follow. He will forever be loved and truly missed by his family and friends!
