James Kerr
October 11, 1950 — July 10, 2016
James "JL" Kerr went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, July 10th. He went to Minor High School and was a long time member of Open Door Church on Hwy 269 in McDonald's Chapel, for over thirty years. He loved to sing, especially in quartets, and he loved his Lord and Savior. JL was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his son, Patrick Kerr.
He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Dianne, who was the love of his life; his daughter, Shalene Boyd (Tim); and his grandchildren, Austin, Brayden, and Cadence Boyd and Chandler Leigh Ann Kerr.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Open Door Church on Hwy 269 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM for a time of visitation before the service. Pastor Rick Cooper Officiating.
