Jack White

Jack Reynolds White, Age 91, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn Weeks White. He is survived by his sons Preston White (Gay Nell), Gregory White (Donna) and daughter Janet Lovett (Art). Grandchildren: Amanda Beckham (Jonathan), Honey Ferguson (John), Martha Austin (Matt), John Anderson, Sarah Childers (Jonathan), Meghan Mathis (Josh), Brooke Braddy (RJ), and David Largin (Veronica). Great Grandchildren: Melanie & Matilda Beckham; Heidi, Charlotte & Timothy Ferguson; Jackson & Chase Austin; Claire & Christian Childers; Beau, Peytyn & Wyatt Largin; and September & Levis Mathis.

He met the love of his life, Carolyn in 1958 and they were married May 1960. He and Carolyn moved to Birmingham in 1968 where they raised their family. He received a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University where he graduated with Honors.

He was an active member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, especially turkey hunting and fisherman.

He was a kind, gentle, generous man beloved by all that knew him.

He will be missed.
