of Birmingham, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2005, at the age of 71. He grew up in Ensley and was an alumnist of John Carroll Catholic High School where he played football. Mr. Vetrano worked with the Trinitarian Brothers at St. Joseph Church and more recently was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo where he was instrumental in starting The Divine Mercy. He served in the U.S Navy for 4 years and worked as a structural designer for more than 40 years for such companies as Menefee & Smith, Rust, and BE&k. Mr. Vetrano is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rose Marie; a son, Mario Gerard Vetrano of Alabaster; 2 daughters, Anne Marie Miranda (Mark) and Annette Priola (Stephen), both of Vestavia; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Rose, Abigail Joy and Jacob Christian Miranda; and 2 sisters, Rosalee Ferlise (Pat) of Sarasota, FL and Nina Parker of Pelham. There will be a visitation and Rosary Service on Sunday, August 14, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo. Funeral service will be on Monday, August 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Ray Remeke officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
