Henry Barr Jr.

Mr. Henry S. Barr Jr., 82, of Birmingham passed away on March 10, 2020. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and yard work. He was a devout Christian, often helping cook and work in the nursery, and was a foster parent to numerous babies. Henry was the President of Citizens Bank and Trust in Alabaster for a number of years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry S. Barr Sr. and Mary Fitzgerald Barr.

He is survived by his son, David Barr (Brandy); daughters, Donna Lacey (John) and Denise Chapin; grandchildren, Kristy Moore (Joe), Shaun Barr (Christina), Mandy Barr Peters, Chad Shader (Carrie), and Raechel Shader; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL with the graveside follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South with Reverend Keith Best officiating.
