Hazel Weaver

Hazel Louise Miller Weaver, of Shannon, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the age of 89. She was a member of Pine Haven Baptist Church. She retired as Postmaster of Shannon after thirty years and was the pillar of the community.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Chester L. Weaver, son; Terry Weaver, two daughters; Carol Mulligan George and Patti Burrow, grandson; Rod Nabors and two granddaughters; Tracy Mulligan Boyd and Paige Hetherington.
She is survived by a daughter; Kay Nabors White (Billy), five grandchildren; Steve Mulligan, Terry R. Weaver, II (Kris), Brooke Carter (Brent), Jason and Blake Burrow, five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, a brother; Gerald Miller, four sisters; Mavis Gunter, Dorothy Rogers, Billie Ashworth and Judy Bittle, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 3, 2016, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
