Gloria Czapala

Gloria Louise (Lou) Czapala, a woman of incredible strength and warmth, passed away on June 11, 2025 at the age of 79. Born in Louisville, KY, Lou always put her family first and her kindness touched countless lives. She loved unconditionally and her laughter and positive spirit will be deeply missed.

Lou is survived by her loving husband, Bill Czapala. She is survived by her three children: Kristin(Michael)Jackson, Erika(Jeremy)Qualls and Erin(Edwin)Florez; and her four grandchildren: Elise Florez, Chase and Miles Jackson and Dayson Qualls. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harlan Woodrow Sr. and Rita Francille Shulthise Brewer.

Family and friends are invited to gather at 10:30AM on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Hoover. A funeral mass will follow at 11:30AM, with burial directly following at the church columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lou may be made to St.Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the charity that was close to her heart.
