Geraldine Abbott

Geraldine (Dean) Abbott, age 93, of Hoover passed away May 6, 2017. She was a former resident of Bessemer and Walker County Alabama. She was an extraordinary devout Christian lady and was a most devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene for over 75 years. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Frelon Abbott Sr., and her daughter in law Margie.

She is survived by her sons Frelon, Truman (Cheryl), Garry (Rhonda) and Rick (Judy); brother Malcolm Ensor and sister Joan Hudgins. Grandchildren Shelley, Trey, Aaron (Allison), David (Lindsay), April (Charles), Evan (Lacie), Sarah (Anthony), and Roni (McLean). Great grand children Andrew, Handley, Chazz, Blakeley, Chandler, and Tripp.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, May 11 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm.
