Gerald Cain

Gerald, M. Cain, 90, of Pelham, Alabama, entered his heavenly home on Saturday, July 15,2023. He was born October 10, 1932 to Mildred and Jim Cain of Bessemer, Alabama.

Gerald was married to Hilda, his lifelong sweetheart of 68 years, and was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is predeceased by his son, Jeffrey G.Cain, parents, his siblings, James O. Cain, and Marilyn C. Roberts.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda, daughter, Jerri C. Bull (Ed), his grandchildren, Benjamin Cain (Courtney), Matthew Cain (Alea), Aaron Cain, John Bull (Stacey), Rebekah B.Crowley (Ryan), great grand children Mason Cain, Madison Cain, Austin Crowley, Emma Crowley, Azlynn Cain, and Henry Bull.

Gerald had a long career as a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. After retirement he and Hilda spent many years traveling and enjoying his favorite hobby, camping. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a Ham radio operator ,and a devoted follower of the Lord. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.

Visitation will be held at Currie Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 10 to 11a.m with a funeral Service following.

Graveside service will be held at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, Alabama,Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
