Georgia Shalhoop

Mrs. Georgia Mann Shalhoop, 85, passed away on August 18, 2021.  She was a member of St. Elias Catholic Church.  She was an avid Alabama football fan and loved to travel.  She retired from Hoover City School Systems as a bookkeeper. Her smile always lit up the room and she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ludell Mann; her son, Timothy John Shalhoop; brothers, Jerry Mann, Jack Mann, and Doug Mann; and sisters, Juanita Graham, Louise McAnnally, and Ida Will Brown

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Shalhoop; grandsons, Jonathan and Branden Shalhoop; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 am in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South with Father Peter Zogbi and Nathan Graham officiating.
