Georgia Grantham

Georgia "Nell" Grantham, of McCalla, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at age 82. She was originally from Collins, MS, but has been a resident of AL for the past 60 years. Nell was a retired secretary of the Birmingham Symphony and a charter member of Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, for 60 years to her late husband, Bob, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Nell is survived by a son, Robert Grantham, Jr. (Gina); a daughter, Debra Grantham O'Hara (Pat); 6 grandchildren, Shannon O'Hara Hill (James), Aaron Grantham Lynch (Jason), Timothy Patrick O'Hara (Amanda), Amanda Grantham Sekulow (Logan), Robert Austin Grantham, and Ryan Collin O'Hara (Geri Martha); 5 step grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, Ada and Murphy Lynch; Cora Hill, Lucy O'Hara, and Ryker, Georgia, and Golda Sekulow; 3 sisters, Jean White, Janice Stephens, and Helen Bacon; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 27, 2017, from 1-2 PM at Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church. The service will follow at 2 PM with Rev. Jason Dollar officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
