George Gaunt

of Homewood, passed away February 24, 2005 at the age of 93. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Birmingham for the past 50 years, and was a member of the McDorman Sunday School. Mr. Gaunt was a partner in the Mims and Gaunt Architect Firm. He graduated from Albion College and later graduated from the University of Michigan with his architect degree. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy. Mr. Gaunt is survived by one daughter, Pam Reach (Johnny) of Calera; 3 grandchildren, John David, Alan and Jennifer Reach. The family will receive friends Friday, February 25, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Graveside service will be on Saturday, February 26, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
