Gene Ingle

Mr. Gene Ingle, 71, of Calera passed away on April 14, 2020. Gene was born on June 21, 1948 and was raised in Carbon Hill, Walker County, and a long-time resident of Hoover. He was a graduate of the School of Accounting at the University of Alabama and loved sports, especially Alabama and the St. Louis Cardinals. He had a sharp mind, a great sense of humor, and persevered through tough times. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lia Marie Gagliano; parents, Harry and Goldie Ingle; and brother, Larry M. Ingle.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Grace Borders Ingle; sons, Matthew Ingle (Harmony) and Kevin Ingle (Morgan); daughters, Amanda Gagliano (Nick) and Holly Roupe (Steven); grandchildren, Nicholas Gagliano, Diana Gagliano, Sofia Gagliano, John David Gagliano, James Ingle, Andrew Ingle, Michael Roupe, Nora Grace Roupe, and Hannah Claire Roupe; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2020 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL. The graveside service will follow at the Abbey Mausoleum at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
