Born on March 11, 1941, in Tremont, Mississippi, Frances lived a life marked by devotion - to her faith, her family, and the countless people whose lives she touched through her warmth and generosity.
Frances was a devoted servant of God whose life was guided by compassion and a deep desire to care for others. She had a gift for hospitality - always eager to feed those around her and share stories that brought laughter and comfort. Her home was a place of welcome and warmth, where friends and family gathered not only for meals but for the joy of her company.
She shared 63 cherished years of marriage with her beloved husband, Murray Ross Thomason. Their enduring partnership to each other was a testament to love, commitment, and mutual respect - a bond that remained strong through every season of life. Frances was the proud mother of two daughters - Tracy McKinney (Brent) and Jodie Walsh (Stephen). She found immense joy in watching them grow in to strong women and took pride in their families. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren - Kelsey McKinney (Trey), Shelby McKinney, Peyton and Katelyn Walsh - each of them bringing light to her life and carried forward her spirit of kindness. She is also remembered by her brother, David Carpenter (Myra), with whom she shared lifelong memories rooted in their Mississippi upbringing. In addition, she is remembered by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers. There are so many people that she brought love and comfort to.
A woman who lived to serve others, Frances will be remembered for the way she made others feel seen, heard and cared for.
