Frances R. Bearden Lewis

Frances (Bearden) Lewis, 91, of Helena, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Frances was one of six children born to J.E. “Ned” Bearden and Irene Bearden, who operated Bearden Dairy in Helena, Alabama, for almost 70 years. After graduating from David Lipscomb, she became an elementary school teacher and educated students for 20 years. She was devoted member of the Riverchase Church of Christ who loved worshipping and singing praises to the Lord.

Frances was a very loving and generous mother, who spent countless hours with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren thru the years. She will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Frances is survived by her three children, Sherry (Joe) Leemon, David (Pam) Lewis and Pam Mears; her grandchildren, Amanda Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Amber Deadwyler and Shelby Majors; her great-grandchildren, Ella Deadwyler, Hank Majors and Ann Douglas Majors

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 am followed by a 11:30 am graveside service at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Hoover, Alabama.
