Emma Hammitt

Emma Hammitt passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the age of 87. She loved the Lord and was a member of Loveless Park Baptist Church for 70 years. An avid baker, she loved baking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hammitt; her mother, Bertha Snyder; great grandson, Clifford Wade Davidson; sons-in-law Jerry Riley and Alan Johnson; and brothers, Alan Snyder and Jimmy Livingston.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Bill) Tanner, Marcia (Audie) Johnson, and Marie Riley; grandchildren, Emmalee (Charlie and Rylynn) Collier, Clint (Kim) Johnson, Stacy Davidson and Michael Riley; and many great and great great grandchildren and extended friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Miller officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
