Elaine Hulsey Kirby, a devoted follower of Christ, entered into the presence of her Savior and Lord on February 16, 2026.

Mrs. Kirby was a faithful member of both Eastern Valley Baptist Church and Bellview Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Mrs. Kirby was a versatile and accomplished southern lady who excelled in several careers during her life. She worked as a switchboard operator for Southern Bell Telephone Company in the 1940’s, a teller for AmSouth Bank, an administrative assistant at Bessemer Carraway Hospital, and secretary at Bellview Baptist Church. Additionally, she was a devoted member of the Flint Hill Chapter #538 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron 2015-2016.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Jacquelyn Elaine Langford Brown (Tommy Brown), Jerri Anne Langford Bottom (Barry Bottom) and Karen Rohrbach; her grandchildren, April Key (Scott), Daniel Russell (Paula Gail), Holly Mills (Josh), Phillip Threlkeld (Danielle), Jordan Bottom (Huan) and Amanda Gray (Andrew); her great-grandchildren Luke Pendergrass, Carly Pendergrass, Noah Mills, Haley Mills, Emma Threlkeld and Tate Threlkeld; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
