Edward "Skip" Hawkins Iii

Edward (Skip) Worthington Hawkins, III of  Leeds, Alabama, passed away on October 26, 2022.  He was 80 years old at the time of his death.

Skip retired from the automotive industry where he spent most of his career as a service department manager. He believed in treating people right and people trusted him throughout his career. He had a passion for the outdoors.  He enjoyed cycling, camping, hiking, rock climbing  and many other activities, He loved sailboats, cars, motorcycles, and music.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward W. Hawkins, Jr. and Pearl J. Hawkins, and his brother Keith B. Hawkins.  He is survived by his three children, John E. Hawkins (Joanna) of Leeds, M. Shane Hawkins(Erin) of Helena, and Jeninne H. Poe (Mike)Poe of Calera. His brother Paul (Pep) K. Hawkins.  He has  six grandchildren, Markal, Lyndsey(Bri), Andy, Michael Shane, Grace and Ellie. He has four great grandchildren, Bella, Asher, Dylan and Teron.

A memorial Service will be held on  Sat. November 5, 2022 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Memorial Gardens  Visitation 12:00 pm Service to follow at 1:00 pm.
