Diann DiChiara

With profound sadness, yet deep gratitude for her beautiful life, we announce the passing of Diann Canzoneri DiChiara, age 73, on December 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Diann was born on October 8th,1952 in Birmingham Alabama. She was the cherished daughter of Tony & Rose Canzoneri. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family. She cherished many trips to her second home in Panama City Beach, Florida. Panama City was also the home of her parents' motel, the Dianna Villa, that was named after her. She loved to play tennis in her younger years, and adored her precious dog Max. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony & Rose Canzoneri. She is survived by her son, Tony Dichiara, her daughter, Kristin DiChiara Letcher (Jeff Letcher), her grandchildren Gavin and Olivia Letcher, her Ex-husband, Vincent DiChiara, her brother Mike Canzoneri (Julie Canzoneri), and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family, who were all touched by her loving spirit. A funeral service will be held at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on December 11, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00. Mass will be held at 10:00 with a reception to follow. Burial will take place immediately after, at Elmwood Cemetery and all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Italian American Heritage Society of Birmingham, Alabama, in her memory.
