Diane Schwarz

Diane Schwarz, 61, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 5th after a four-month battle with cancer. Diane was born July 11, 1960 in Nashville, TN to Deana Mae Lee and the late Eugene Lee. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and Mimi. All who knew her would know of her amazing food and generous hospitality. She specialized in making everyday a celebration. Diane's love for her Savior overflowed into genuine care and service to others. She worked at Cathedral Day Care in Birmingham for the last 7 years and really enjoyed being able to love the children, parents, and coworkers there. Diane served the Lord in various capacities as a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. While we mourn her loss here on earth, we rejoice that she is fully healed and home with Jesus.
Diane is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Schwarz, and her father, Eugene Lee. She is survived by her four children: Kellye (Tyler) Harris, Brent Schwarz, Rob Schwarz, and Matthew Schwarz; her adored granddaughter Evelyn Harris; her mother Deana Mae Lee; her sisters Karen (Rick) Houk, and Linda Lee; her much loved in-laws Bob and Rita Schwarz; as well as numerous other family members.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 9th from 12:00-2:00pm at the Hunter Street Baptist Church Chapel. A memorial service will be held directly after visitation at 2:00pm, with a graveside service to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
