Danny Guthrie Hudson

Danny Guthrie Hudson passed away on December 4th, after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication and unconditional love for all who knew him.

Danny was born in 1948 to Jolene Lollar Hudson and Guthrie Boman Hudson. He attended Pratt Elementary School and Ensley High School, before marrying his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Helen English Hudson, in 1967. Danny was proud of serving his country in the Vietnam War.

To know Danny was to love him. His christian values and true humility led him to see good in everyone. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife. He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Kelley Hudson White, his grandchildren, Peter James White and Margaret Grace White, all of Birmingham, Alabama, and his sister, Karon Hudson Davis, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 17th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in his memory.
