Daniel Luongo

Daniel Luongo, 83, passed away at his residence in Bessemer, Al Monday May 12, 2025. He was born April 1, 1942 in White Plains, NY.

In 1966 Mr. Luongo married Sheila Sharon DeNicola in White Plains, NY and had 2 children with her. In 2001 Mr. Luongo married Marjorie Donnelly in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

He served in the US Army and in the Vietnam War from 1964-1966 was a Private First Class promoted to Corporal. Received many medals and honor awards. His specialties were Armor, and Intelligence Specialty. Medal/Decorations Sharpshooter (Rifle), Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Luongo graduated from White Plains high school and Mercy College in New York.

Mr. Luongo was employed by a variety of Companies, mostly medical gases as an Account Manager and was very successful. He loved life and the outdoors, most of all his family.

Mr. Luongo is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Mary Luongo, his oldest brother, Michael (Mikey) Luongo,

Mr. Luongo is survived by his wife Marjorie Donnelly Luongo, his daughter, Pamela Fay Luongo Herring, son Daniel Michael Luongo. His grandchildren, Amanda Faye Breen, Kelly Marie Breen (Steven fiancé).

Mr. Luongo is also survived by his siblings, Nieces and Nephews and greats. Sister, Mary Luongo, children: Louie Bettino, MaryAnne Bettino (Aldo) Trovato, Anthony Bettino. Brothers; William Luongo children; Sheri (John) Luongo, Joanna Luongo (Bill) David, and Joseph (Linda) Luongo children: Laura Luongo Harrison.
