Constance "Connie" Lee Estep, age 86, passed away peacefully on 10 April 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family. She was born on February 4, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Elwyn M. Liverett and Helen E. Liverett, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron Estep; her sister, Patricia A. Loy; and her brothers, Thomas E. Liverett and James A. Liverett.
Connie is survived by her brother, William R. Liverett.
Before marriage, Connie worked as a reservations agent for Eastern Airlines in Chicago, Illinois. She later married the love of her life, Ron Estep. As a devoted Army wife, Connie embraced a life of travel and adventure, supporting her husband's military career and raising her family in Hawaii, Selfridge Air Force Base Michigan, Fort Richardson Alaska, El Paso Texas, Darmstadt Germany, and ultimately settling in Hartselle Alabama, where they enjoyed retirement.
Connie was a loving and dedicated mother to her children: Alan Reid Estep (Tara Sivley), Allison Leeanne Estep (Steve Bennett), Steven Craig Estep (Lori R. Estep), Kenneth Ryan Estep (Kerry M. Estep), and Christine Louise Norton. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Sophie M. Estep, Cooper Reid Estep, Nathan D. Estep, Sawyer C. Estep, Addyson R. Estep, Ansleigh R. Estep, Braden C. Norton, Avery A. Norton, and Emerson K. Norton.
Connie found joy in life's simple pleasures and creative pursuits. She loved cooking for her family, engaging in arts and crafts, sewing, pottery, flower arranging, and various needlework including cross-stitch, crochet, and needlepoint. She enjoyed walking, bowling, and traveling with her husband Ron. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and a passionate fan of Alabama football. Above all, Connie treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
She will be remembered by her friends and family for her amazing baking, her infectious laugh, strength in hard times, creativity, and unwavering love for her family.
