Chester Trunec

formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the age of 87. He was a Navy veteran and was retired from Inland Steel in East Chicago, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Trunec and a son, Jamie Trunec. He is survived by three sons, Paul Trunec (Paula), Larry Trunec (Judy) and Greg Trunec; a daughter, Lynette Meany; four grandchildren, Steven Trunec, Alex Trunec, Madelyn Pacheco, and Gerilyn Bartnik; and a sister, Marcella Breiske. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at 5-7 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A Mass Service will follow at 7 PM at the church. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
