Charlotte Shake

Charlotte "Chars" Ann (Pearce) Shake, age 90, of Birmingham, Alabama, and formerly of Tellico Village, Loudon, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Martine and Keith Redenbaugh.

After graduating from Ahrens Trade High School, Chars married the love of her life, Norris Dean Shake, on July 16, 1955. Together, they built a beautiful life as they raised three children and followed Norris' career across four states. Upon retirement, they settled in Tellico Village, where Chars found joy in playing cards, dining with friends, knitting, crocheting, and opening her home to family gatherings throughout the year.

Chars is survived by her children: Deena Rosswurm of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Lisa (Chris) Phillips of Birmingham, Alabama; and Brian (Kathy) Shake of Daphne, Alabama. She was a proud grandmother of six and great-grandmother of six. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Norris, as well as her parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Louisville, Kentucky, where Chars will be laid to rest beside Norris and her extended family.
