Charles Scott

of Bessemer, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009, at the age of 80. He was a member of Loveless Park Baptist Church and was a U.S. veteran who served as a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles LeRoy Scott. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elaine Bell Scott; a son Kelly Scott (Kathy) of Cottageville, SC; two granddaughters, Jonie Scott of Charleston, SC and Kristy Joy Scott of Cottageville, SC; three step-grandsons; a step-great-granddaughter; four step-great-grandsons; a brother, Frank Scott (Jean); a sister, Elizabeth Meek; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson-Memorial Gardens, South.
