Catherine Penton, of Birmingham, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the age of 84.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John Penton. She is survived by 2 daughters, Wanda Honea (Jim) and Debbie Bowling (Richard); 5 grandchildren, Michele Bowling Buchina (Michael), Brandon Honea (Danielle), Nathan Honea, Jesse Bowling, and Jonathan Bowling; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Willie Dunn and John Dunn (Florence).

The family will receive friends from 2-3, Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow in the chapel at 3:00, Jim Profetto officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
