Carl Smith, Jr

Carl D. Smith, Jr., of McCalla, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at the age of 82.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Louise Smith; 2 daughters, Rhonda Coleman and Karen Gould (George); 4 grandchildren, Amy Adams, Jason Robbins, Whitney Richardson (Jon), and Jake Alfano (Sonni); 4 great grandchildren, John David Adams, Gabriel Adams, Noah Robbins, and Rowan Richardson; and sister, Mary Wade (Jerry).

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00, Friday, November 10, 2017, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow at 2:00 in the chapel, Pastor Joe Kitchens officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Gideons International.
