Burrell White "Buddy" Runnels, 97, of Birmingham, Alabama went to join the Lord peacefully on Monday July 20, 2026.
Buddy was born on December 10, 1928 in Pensacola, Florida the son of Charles Leon Runnels and Lennie Stell (Parker) Runnels.
He graduated from Ramsey High School in Birmingham Alabama and briefly attended Auburn University (Alabama Polytechnic Institute) where he obtained a lifetime love of Auburn Tigers football.
Buddy was wed to Mary (Anglin) Moseley in 1994.
Buddy worked at Church and Stagg Office Supply in sales for more than 40 years. Buddy loved interacting with customers and worked at several other companies and briefly had his own office supply company in High Springs, Florida.
Buddy was involved in numerous charitable organizations, most notably Salvation Army ARC, Gideons International, and Lion's Club. He was always generous in giving to others of his time, attention, and blessing from God.
Buddy was a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where he founded the New Focus Ministry. He was a member and deacon during the early days of the church.
Buddy is remembered as generous in giving and loving of animals, especially dogs and cats, and of children. Buddy enthusiastically followed Auburn Tigers college football and had a lifelong love of Charlse Schulz' artistry, especially Snoopy. He loved everyone he met and was a fervent witness for Christ.

Visitation will be held at Briarwood Presbyterian Church Chapel at 2 PM. The service will be at 3 PM in the chapel.
