Bryon Beaton

November 7, 1939 — January 24, 2024

Bryon R. Beaton, 84, passed away January 24, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Bryon was born in Detroit, MI to Helen E. and Donald Beaton. After moving to Grand Rapids he met the love of his life, Connie, at Central High School. The two were married 56 loving years before her passing in 2016.

From the time Bryon was a young boy he had an avid love for the outdoors; hunting, freshwater and deep sea fishing, shooting, boating and perhaps his most treasured hobby, his love of dogs.

Bryon was a loyal member of the VDD-GNA for over 30 years. He was passionate about the Duetsch Drahtaar breed and seeked excellence in training, judging, breeding and was honored to serve as Chairman for a number of years.

He was a highly skilled engineer owning Technics, Inc. with his son, Todd, designing and manufacturing equipment installed all over the world.

Many treasure learning from Bryon as he had so many talents. Passionately dedicated, he had a wonderful sense of humor, love of family and independent nature that will not be forgotten. Rest in true Peace Dad.

Bryon is preceded in death by his wife, Constance (Wesorick) Beaton and sons, Tad Jerald Beaton and Kevin Beaton. Brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Arlene Lukso. Bryon is survived by his children; Todd (Karen) Beaton, Andrea (Kirk) Mickaels, 5 grandchildren; Jake (Hannah) Beaton, Hope (Will) Cutchen, Adam (Kate) Beaton, Christopher Beaton and Blake Beaton, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Mark (Michaele)Beaton, brothers-in-law, David (Bonnie) Wesorick, Dale (Nancee) Wesorick, and sister-in-law Donna (Richard) Neureither.
