Branson Lee Palmer, 61, of Pell City, passed away March 6, 2023. Lee was born March 3, 1962. He was preceded in death by his father, Jarvis Worth (Jay) Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Haynes; his mother, Patricia Alexander Palmer; his sister, Alexandria Palmer Parker (Richard); his niece, Lea Parker, and his nephew, James Parker.
Lee grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Shades Valley High School and the University of Alabama, and he was a longtime football season-ticket holder for his beloved Crimson Tide. He owned and leased commercial office space in Hoover through his company, Palmer Properties.
As a child, Lee had spent many summer weekends with his family at Lake Logan Martin, and in 2007 he moved to the lake full time.
Lee lit up a room with his smile and charismatic personality, and he was generous with others. He had a strong faith in the Lord and was concerned that others were believers in Jesus Christ.
A memorial is scheduled for April 15 at 2 p.m. at Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
