Bobby Oakley

Bobby Howard Oakley, of Calera, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at age 79. There is no better example of a man who worked hard to love, care and provide for his wife and family. He was a loving husband and father, and was "Papa" to his 3 grandchildren.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emily Oakley; two daughters, Sheila Oakley Brate (Joseph) and Janet Buckelew (Ronald); three grandchildren, Alan Buckelew, David Buckelew, and Emily Alyse Brate; one brother, Ferris Lamar Oakley (Lynda); and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 11 AM - 1 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Oakley and Ken Daniels officiating.
